Honouring Professor Jason Arday.

Honouring Professor Jason Arday.

FACE honours the life, scholarship and legacy of Professor Jason Arday, whose achievements represented hope and possibility for so many. In 2023, he became the youngest Black professor in the history of the University of Cambridge. In August 2026, following intense public and media scrutiny surrounding allegations about his academic work and career Jason Resigned from Cambridge

He had consistently denied plagiarism allegations, and an earlier investigation had not upheld them. Nine days after his resignation, Jason died at his home, aged 41. His death has prompted profound grief and urgent questions about racism, media scrutiny, institutional responsibility and the treatment of Black academics.

FACE Members have created this space to continue Professor Arday’s legacy and discuss the lessons, emotions and actions he leaves behind.
