Death of a Salesman
Step inside the FACE Takeover of Death of a Salesman
Afrocentric and Afrofuturist perspectives
At the Liverpool Everyman, 5th – 10th October 2026
Written by celebrated American Playwright Arthur Miller, the multi-award winning play Death of a Salesman is both contemporary and timeless – an unforgettable classic reimagined for the Everyman by acclaimed director, Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu. Seamlessly weaving past and present into one of theatre’s most enduring stories, Death of a Salesman reveals a family in turmoil, and a man fighting with his own sense of worth.
To celebrate this play with tickets on sale for shows from 19th September to 10th October 2026 FACE have joined forces with the Liverpool Everyman to create a unique event.

Presented alongside the conversation, a curated exhibition of work selected by FACE will feature established, current and emerging creatives.
The exhibition celebrates Afrocentric and Afrofuturist perspectives, creating a shared space for exhibition, dialogue, creative exchange and collective reflection.
The exhibition will explore how creative practice can help us reclaim histories, celebrate legacies and imagine future possibilities across fashion, textiles, art and design.
FACE Conversations of Truth | 01 Wednesday 7th October.
Design Futures in the Black Diaspora: Celebrating Legacies. Reclaiming Histories. Imagining Futures.
How have designers from the Black diaspora shaped fashion and design histories? Whose contributions have been celebrated, remembered, overlooked, or marginalised? How can reclaiming and celebrating these stories inspire future generations of creative practitioners?
This event launches FACE Conversations of Truth, a new series of public dialogues in which creative provocations become catalysts for critical reflection, creative exchange and collective action.
Bringing together voices from education, industry and creative practice, this inaugural conversation celebrates the enduring legacy, excellence, influence and future of designers across the Black diaspora.
Through a critical exploration of identity, representation, innovation, cultural heritage and creative leadership, the panel will consider how celebrating excellence while reclaiming overlooked histories can help shape more equitable and imaginative futures for fashion, design, creative expression and education.
